  Bought a 2nd hand car for £13000. A year later and a week out of warranty the engine blew up. Turns out the 'mechanics' at Barnes put the wrong engine oil in the car and the wrong oil filter. Barnes refused to recover the car costing me £200 and then said they weren't in a position to inspect the car so had to move it again to another garage costing me another £100. £6000 later for a new engine and Barnes refused to offer any money for compensation, saying it was my responsibility as out of warranty. Did not even offer a small figure in good will. Took them to small claims court and I won. They had to fork out nearly £8000. Would never buy from here again. Customer service terrible. Engineers are clueless.
