  Our dog stayed at Stilebridge Kennels for 2 weeks. We gave clear instructions of her feeding and how much food she needed per day. This was also stated on the bag provided. When we picked her up she was visibly bigger than when we left her. When we checked her food, it turned out twice as much food was missing as she required for 2 weeks. (she needs about 1 kilo per week and 4 kilos were missing). When we weighed her, she had put on 3 kilos! When I rang and enquired about this, I received a very defensive and rather rude response. In fact the lady I spoke to said, “Well, we look after over 40 dogs, there is bound to be a mistake somewhere.” This is an appalling approach to run a business as far as I am concerned: you take on so many clients that you expect to make mistakes?! What other kind of mistakes do you make then? Forget to walk a dog? Forget medication? Loose a dog? When I pointed this out, the lady responded, “what do you want me to do about it now, what’s done is done, it’s not a big deal, she is only a puppy anyway.” (which she is not, she is almost 2 years) I can also say with confidence that my dog’s bed had not been aired or “shaken out” for the entire 2 weeks as it was absolutely filthy when we picked it up. The whole thing comes down to trust and I will not leave my dog here again and I would not recommend this place. Had the lady apologised and been humble about the feeding mistake and said she would look in to what had happened (I didn’t immediately accuse them of over feeding my dog as I didn’t want to assume this was the case despite the weight gain - the bag could have been dropped or something similar) but her response made it clear that they had no client or service communication skills and more importantly, didn’t seem to care that a dog in their care had put on 3 kilos over 2 weeks!

  Fabulous best kennels and Cattery I've ever been to and the only one I'll be using now they looked after our animals perfectly they definitely enjoyed their holiday and will most certainly use them again !
